| Bunkyo Gakuin University is established by Bunkyo Gakuen, an educational institution founded in 1924 at its present site in Bunkyo Ward, the cultural center of Tokyo. The founder, late President Ishiko Shimada, proclaimed, "Sincerity, Diligence, and Benevolence" as the school motto in the hope of encouraging students to cultivate these virtues. Bunkyo Gakuin University, which became a coeducational university in 2005, is dedicated to helping young men and women fully realize their potential for personal growth, academic success, and career development in order to become productive members of society. The graduate school is open for anyone who wants to seek his/her further professional career. |

| The university has two campuses - Hongo Campus and Fujimino Campus. Hongo Campus is conveniently located near one of the subway stations in central Tokyo. Fujimino Campus is located in the suburb approximately 30km northwest of Tokyo and surrounded by a rich green environment. |
