| Daito Bunka University is a private coeducational university offering a literary and social curriculum both in undergraduate and graduate education. Daito Bunka is known as one of oldest traditional and historical universities in Tokyo. "Daito Bunka Gakuen," the predecessor of the present Daito Bunka University, was founded by a special resolution by Japanese Parliament in 1923 to build a new university. Daito Bunka University was established on the spirit of learning from both the Chinese classical and the Western cultures, thereby contributing to the world by creating a new culture on the basis of the fusion of both Western and Eastern cultures. |

| Daito Bunka has two campuses, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, and Higashimatsuyama-shi, Saitama, on the northwest side of Tokyo. The Higashimatsuyama campus sets in over 70 acres within an hour by train from the center of Tokyo. Japanese Language Program for international students is held at the Higashimatsuyama campus. |
