| Profile |
Juntendo University is Japan's oldest school of Western Medicine, and is regarded as one of the outstanding general medical institutions in the country. And also our mission is to develop future talents for the maintenance, promotion, and restoration of human health.
Now a conglomerate of medical and health institutions, Juntendo University, with its state-of-the-art medical and research facilities, is one of Japan's leading health institutions.
Known as the "University of Human Health", Juntendo is the only university in Japan that consist of the School of Medicine, the School of Health and Sports Science and the School of Health Care and Nursing. Juntendo has been developing constantly to provide excellence in medical education, research and medical practice in Japan.
Recently, Juntendo established many research centers supported by the government. The quality and the number of Ph. D. degrees awarded are very high. A total of 128 students out of 159 (81%) who graduated in 2006-2007 published papers in English based on their theses, and the average impact factor of these papers was 3.9 (Journal Citation Reports). |

| Environment |
Juntendo University is composed of three campuses: Hongo, Sakura and Urayasu.
*The Hongo Campus (main campus) is located in the center of Tokyo and quite easy to access by trains/subways. The nearest station is Ochanomizu, which is surrounded by parks. Juntendo University Hospital, one of the most famous hospitals in Japan, the library, and research centers are adjoining the campus. Classes for the School of Medicine (2nd-6th year classes), School of Health Care and Nursing (3rd-4th year classes), Graduate School of Medicine, and the Graduate School of Health and Sports Science are held at the Hongo Campus.
*The Sakura Campus is in Sakura city, Chiba prefecture, a suburb of Tokyo richly endowed with nature. There are several sport facilities on the Sakura Campus. First year students live in the dormitory located on-campus. Classes for the School of Medicine (1st year classes), School of Health and Sports Science (1st-4th year classes), and the Graduate School of Health and Sports Science are held on this campus.
*The Urayasu Campus is also located in Urayasu city, Chiba prefecture. It is a very modern city, and it takes only 20 minutes from Tokyo station to Shin-Urayasu station, which is the nearest station to the campus. The Urayasu Campus has classes for the School of Health Care and Nursing (1st-2nd year classes) and the Graduate School of Health Care and Nursing.

| Service for International
Students |
Juntendo University provides a dormitory for 30,000 yen per month, which is very affordable compared to apartments in Tokyo.
Students from abroad can get information on scholarship, funds, etc. at the Juntendo University International Center. The International Center has cultural events and free Japanese language classes for non-Japanese students.
Graduate School students can apply for "Research Assistant" at Juntendo University research centers, and reduction of tuition fee.
