| We thank you for your interest in Tomakomai Komazawa University and are delighted to introduce, at the same time, the oldest university in Japan on its newest campus. Our father university, Komazawa University in Tokyo, dates back to 1553 AD when it was founded as a training institution for monks belonging to the Soto Zen school of Buddhism. Tomakomai Komazawa is the newest Komazawa campus in Japan and one of the most recent universities in Hokkaido, receiving student since 1998. |
