| Profile |
| Saitama Prefectural University (SPU) was founded in 1999 aiming to raise professionals and contribute to the society in the field of health and social services. One of the university's missions is to train the students to be competent professionals who have advanced knowledge and skills and to help them become specialists who can play a leading role in health, medical, and social care. The curriculum is composed of four groups of courses: general education courses, common basic courses, specialized courses and interprofessional courses. The interprofessional courses aiming at cooperation and integration in health and social care are the university's featured courses, and they provide students with greater opportunities to learn common health and social issues, acquire necessary knowledge and skills, and collaboratively work with the students and faculty members in other departments. Therefore, the university intends to help students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for integrated services and encourages faculty members to engage in interdisciplinary research in health and social care. SPU has not held entrance examinations specially implemented for international students, and it has not enrolled any students from abroad yet. |
