| Yamanashi Gakuin University possess the goal of creating a campus which does not Conduct international exchange only in word but an environment that each and every student feels is a global one. By design, YGU does not create classes specifically for international students, therefore initiating active exchange at the student level by having international students attend lectures alongside Japanese students. By removing the barriers that exist between educational departments, the creation of sister-city school cooperation throughout the entire school system and various international exchange programs, Yamanashi Gakuin University will lead the next generation by education of higher knowledge and stressing practical ability through the use and development of original and attentive programs, thus "setting the standard for originality within the group of independent schools. |

| The campus is located in Kofu basin, surrounded by Mt. Fuji and the Japan Alps, but only 100 km away (one hour and half by train) from Tokyo. Kofu, population of 200,000, is a cozy city with a history, which is now a center of high-tech industries as well. |
