| Comments/PR on exchanges |
| Currently our university promotes student exchange with a lot of universities mainly in Asia. Compared to the number of foreign students whom our university has accepted, the number of Japanese students who have been sent to overseas universities is extremely few. Therefore, our university is making efforts to encourage more Japanese students to study abroad. |

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Institute of Tropical Medicine at Nagasaki University introduced a Master course in Tropical Medicine in April 2006. In the background of growing concerns of threats incurred by emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases world-wide, the course is designed for medical doctors wishing to obtain and update knowledge of tropical diseases. During the 12-month program, the course features teaching sessions (including molecular medicine and infectious disease epidemiology), overseas training, and a research project tailored to individual interests. In addition to Japanese applicants, we are also recruiting applicants from all over the world, and the working language of the course is English. Applicants must be medical doctors with at least two years of clinical experience. For further details, visit our course prospectus at www.nagasaki-u.ac.jp. |
