Mailing of 2011 EJU Examination Voucher Japanese


For Examinees Taking EJU in Japan

*Please refer to this web site for the latest information which is updated as required.


  1. Mailing date

    Your examination voucher will be mailed by "Registered Mail" to the address you specified on your EJU application on the date listed below.  Please sign when you receive the mail. If you are not there when the mail arrives, the mail carrier will leave a slip to inform you of the arrival of the mail. Please follow the instruction in the slip to receive the mail.

    If you moved after submitting EJU application, please submit "Tenkyo-Todoke (change of address announcement )" to the nearest Post Office. For details, please refer to this website (By Japan Post Network, Japanese only).
    Notice: Please do not submit "Tenkyo-Todoke" to JASSO.
    *Please indicate your name on the mail box and place a nameplate on the doorway, otherwise the mail carrier can not confirm you are actually living in.

    1st  Session (June): Friday, May 27 (completed)
    *This date was formerly scheduled on Friday, May 20. However, due to the outbreak of the Tohoku Region Pacific Coast Earthquake on 11 March, Friday, JASSO postponed the application deadline of the 2011 EJU (1st Session) for one week. Therefore, this date was re-scheduled.
    2nd Session (November): Friday, October 21  (completed) 

    After you receive your voucher, please make sure that all the information is correct (your name, date of birth, etc.). If you have any question regarding the voucher itself or the enclosed map, please make it clear by the day of one week ahead of the examination. Please be noticed that you can not change the examination site or the subjects you take.

  2. What to do if voucher does not arrive

    1st Session (June): If your voucher does not arrive by Monday, June 6,
    *This date was formerly scheduled on Monday, May 30. However, due to the postponement of the mailing date, this date was also re-scheduled.
    2nd Session (November): If your voucher does not arrive by Monday, October 31,

    *As you will receive a FAX message, please prepare your FAX number and inform the number to the "Uketsuke-Center". If you don't have a FAX at home, the number of your school, office or the nearest convenience store is also available.

  3. What to do if voucher information is incorrect
    If any of the information listed on your voucher, such as your name, distinction of sex, date of birth, nationality is incorrect, first take EJU without altering the voucher. Your request for the correction is available after completing the examination (not available at the examination venue on the day).
    (how to claim)
    Make a photocopy of the voucher and write any necessary corrections on the copy using a red pen, as well as your address with postal code and phone number. And then mail the copy by no later than the date specified below (your claim must be reached by the day).

  • Please note that if you do not request corrections by the designated date, your score report will be issued with the incorrect information unaltered.
    If you lost the voucher after you received it, please contact EJU "Uketsuke-Center (information desk)" (phone: 03-5300-0711) as soon as possible.

  1. Mailing date
    Your test voucher may be directly issued to you at the time you apply, or may be mailed to you later. Contact the EJU Overseas Representative (the office to which you applied) to find out the manner in which the voucher will be issued to you.
  2. What to do if voucher does not arrive
    Contact the EJU Overseas Representative.
  3. What to do if voucher information is incorrect
    If any of the information listed on your voucher (name on the answer sheets) is incorrect, first take EJU without altering the voucher. After completing the examination, report the error to the examination proctor.


    Please note that if you do not request corrections to be made, your score report will be issued with the incorrect information unaltered.
