Thanks to the warm assistance extended by Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center, JASSO, I am living my fulfilling campus life. For me, this school was not merely a school, also a home where I belonged to.
The teachers always give finely textured lessons and detailed instructions. In an unaccustomed country, there were often sufferings and troubles. But they always give a helping hand to me.
Office staffs are also helpful. When I arrived in Japan without an acquaintance, I felt that I was totally helpless. I was received by a staff at the school gate and he showed me around the premise of the school. I was relieved by the friendly and helpful atmosphere of the school.
As there are many students from various countries studying together, I have learned that there are many viewpoints different way of thinking to comprehend a single matter. We all aim to proceed to universities to study certain subjects. We compete each others, also we encourage each others. Here I have established friendships of my life-long mates.
I used to in the school dorm. And I troubled school staffs on meticulous formalities, such as foreigner’s registration, national health insurance, etc. Japanese students are also stationed as “Resident Assistants” at the dorm. They also give us advices and assistances to foreign students.
The school life at the Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center, JASSO, is my life-long memory of my youth.
I studied in Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center between October 2008 and March 2010. When I recollect lots of memories and productive life during the course of study there.
Students from many countries are studying together. You will meet diversity of human culture which enlarges your horizon.
As a foreign student, on the other hand, the most important thing is to study in order to enter your desired university. This school gives you practical curriculum for this purpose and I have achieved dramatic advancement in my Japanese ability.
You can concentrate yourself, just into your study. Not only the classes, but also facet of living, guidance and advices are available. There are programs such as excursion trip, cultural exchanges, etc., you can join in, while you are spending stressful days of studying.
I recommend this school to everybody considering to study in Japan.
I started learning Japanese language, at the International Students Institute. I still remember my first day at the language school. I could not understand a single word that teacher said. I was wondering what to do, then I realized, that the class was so much fun.
All the credits goes to the teacher who made it enjoyable for us to learn Japanese. Apart from Japanese language I could learn Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and English at the ISI, which was very helpful for me after on, at the university.
Teachers that support us, and who wish our success for the bottom of their hearts. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to learn at this school, and I am proud of being a student there.
I joined this school in April 2009 and entered the 1-year course.
It was a very meaningful year for me. I faced several problems as this was my first year living alone abroad. Luckily, the school was always there to provide support and help me solve my
problems.
I was able to obtain a lot of information pertaining to entrance exams, such as past-year questions, with the help of the school. The teachers too, were readily available for consultation and interview practice. That helped me a lot during my entrance exams. Besides Japanese lessons, we were also prepared amply for the Examination for Entrance to Japanese Universities.
I had many chances to form firm friendships with students from other countries. Despite being in Japan, I do not want to limit my social circle to just Japanese students. This school gave me a very good opportunity to make friends with people whom I will continue to remain in contact with even in the future.
Hello everybody. I am Erick from Mexico. I graduated from this school on March 2003. When I begin to think about the time I studied in ISI, I feel nostalgic and it just comes to my mind the idea of going back to that time. That was a great time for me; it became not only a good memory but also a part of my growth as student and as person.
I remember a lot of things like the kindness of the teachers, the cheerfulness of my friends, the valuable and countless experiences, etc, but there were two things I was deeply impressed, and it was the professors teaching and the cultural exchange between people.
I cannot forget the enthusiastic way the teachers gave us class, always with a smile in their faces. Even now I am grateful for the good influence they became for me not only in the Japanese, but also in my habits and ways of living.
And also I think that the cultural exchange in this is school is so great. There is a great exchange not only with Japanese people, but with a lot of people from different countries. And because of good experiences like traveling together, a lot of contests and tournaments, some parties, etc, the students can improve their Japanese.
In short, I think that there is a good balance in this school.
And I would like to give this advice to the students: try to do as much cultural exchange as you can. If you do it, certainly you would improve your Japanese. If you just say you don't like some activity, do not just prejudice without trying it; now that you are in this school, I really recommend you to try everything you can. I'm sure that the teachers' effort will be there, so everybody will make efforts as well.
Finally I would like to leave this message, although some of you may already know it: "It doesn't matter to be the number one, what it matters is to be somebody special"
So come on, and let's do our best.
I proud to be a graduate of this school.
I entered one and a half year course in 1993. Studied Japanese language and core subject (necessary to take entrance exams to universities) intensively, with suitable study materials, under direction of experienced teachers.
Also I experienced exchanges and establishing friendships with people from various countries. Through events and programs organized by either this school or third organizations, I improved understandings on Society in Japan and other countries as well.
Even after graduation from this school, I often happened to meet other graduates and rekindle old friendships. Currently, I am trying to extend networks and seeking ties between Japan and my mother land, as well as the rest of the world.
I thank the teachers and staffs of this school and I am sincerely hoping that I can meet them. Terima Kasih (Thank you !)
I have already spent 10 years since I landed in Japan. The year I spent in this school will be remembered in my whole life.
Prior to my arrival in Japan, I had studied the language. Therefore I was thinking that starting from the scratch will be a kind of a waste. But soon I found out that I didn’t need to worry about it. Classes are formed in accordance with ability of individual student.
We study the language, also subjects such as mathematics, history, etc. I have started my music carrier since my childhood. I had seldom practiced Japanese song as well. I often questioned on lyrics of such songs, teachers always attentively taught me about those.
Teachers in this school are very helpful and skilful. School staffs are also kind and attentive. As a new comer to Japan, I was reassured with this environment.
I still keep in touch with teachers and I sometimes take part into cultural exchange programs.
Since my graduation from undergraduate course and entrance to postgraduate study, I have resumed my music carrier and made a major debut in Vietnam. I am known as a Vietnamese singer artist sings Japanese song, bridges Vietnam and Japan.
