Mailing of 2011 EJU Score Report
For Examinees Taken EJU in Japan
*Please refer to this web site for the latest information which is updated as required.
- Notification of Results to Examinees
Your Score Report will be mailed by "Registered Express Mail" to the address you specified on your EJU application on the date listed below. Please sign when you receive the mail. If you are not there when the mail arrives, the mail carrier will leave a slip to inform you of the arrival of the mail. Please follow the instruction in the slip to receive the mail.
If you moved after submitting EJU application, please submit "Tenkyo-Todoke (change of address announcement )" to the Post Office. For details, please refer to this website (By Japan Post Network, Japanese only).
Notice: Please do not submit "Tenkyo-Todoke" to JASSO.
*Please indicate your name on the mail box and place a nameplate on the doorway, otherwise the mail carrier can not confirm you are actually living in.
1st Session (June): Friday, July 22 completed
2nd Session (November): Tuesday, December 20 completed
Score Report will not be reissued.
However,
JASSO can issue "EJU certificate of scores” after sending the score report of the EJU, for those who wants to prove their score. (for Japanese residents only)
Procedure for issue of score certificate
- In case of Score Report does not arrive
1st Session (June): If Score Report does not arrive by Monday, August 1,
2nd Session (November): If Score Report does not arrive by Wednesday , January 4,
Contact EJU "Uketsuke-Center (information desk)" (phone: 03-5300-0711).
*The office is closed from Thursday, December 29 to Wednesday, January 4 as the year-end and new-year holiday.
*When your report has been returned to JASSO, because of the expiration of custody by the post office, incorrect address including the moving, you will be charged for re-sending the report.
- Score Notification to Universities
Universities will be notified of examinees' scores as follows.
(1) When applying to a university, write your examinee number, name in the Roman alphabet, date of birth, and other required information on the university's application form. If you are planning to take both the first session (June) and the second session (November), write only the examinee number of one session (whichever you prefer) on the university's application form. Please be noticed that you can not request to choose the subject of each session: e.g. first session of "Japanese as a Foreign language" and second session of "Japan and the World".
(2) Some universities require students to have test vouchers when applying, so be sure not to lose your voucher before you have completed enrollment.
(3) After the examination, the university to which you applied will request Japan Student Services Organization to provide your score.
(4) Japan Student Services Organization will provide the university with your score and, if you took the Japanese as a Foreign Language test, a copy of your answers for the writing portion of the test.
- Inquiries on Results
JASSO does not respond to inquiries or doubts raised by examinees concerning the results reported to them. Also, JASSO does not show or return the answer sheets to examinees after the examination, regardless of their reason for wanting access to the sheets.
For Examinees Taken EJU outside Japan
- Notification of Results to Examinees
The Score Report will be sent to the Overseas Representatives of each cities.
1st Session (June): Friday, July 22 completed
2nd Session (November): Tuesday, December 20 completed
When the Overseas Representative receive your Score Report from Japan Student Services Organization, the Score Report will be sent to address which you wrote in the "Label for Score Report" or distributed at the designated location.
Score Report will not be reissued.
