*Thank you very much for the mail. When I was in Japan it was nice day for me and my family also. We enjoyed Sakura in several parks and riverbanks at Saga. Really it was very nice. My daughter enjoyed too much. We had a group of friends, in the time of Sakura blooming we visited many parks and took lunch under the Sakura tree. We have many pictures.
Dr. M. Aminul Hoque (Bangladesh)
*I'm a former MEXT student from UAE. I did my master degree at Osaka University of Foreign Studies and graduated in March 2007.
And I encourage many students from my country to apply for the same scholarship and have the great chance to be in Japan to learn from them to live the Japanese experience everyday as I did. I'm very thankful for your continuous emails.

[From the Editor]
It has become warmer with each passing day and plants grow as they receive plenty of sunlight at this time of the year. This spring, we have received exciting news that Suzuki Ichiro, who transferred from the Nippon Professional Baseball to the US Major League Baseball, exceeded his 3,085th hit in his career, which is the greatest number of hits by a Japanese professional baseball player. We eagerly look forward in seeing how far his record will grow.
We recently took a peak at a recruiting fair that targeted international students in Japan. Amid the global recession, the companies were trying to hire a broad range of talented individuals and the international students were eagerly gathering information. International students might struggle in Japan’s unique job hunting environment. However, during times of hardship, let’s try and remember Ichiro’s words.
“Achieve what you now can.
Do things you think you can do if you strive toward it.
Without these constant and diligent efforts,
You won’t get closer to your long-term goals.”
Beginning with this issue, we introduce "Job Hunting Reports from Former International Students”; hopefully you’ll find them informative.
Opinions and ideas, as well as memories and photos of your days in Japan are welcome. We would be delighted to hear any feedback from you!
The 13th issue of Japan Alumni eNews is scheduled for issue on July 10, 2009.
Don’t miss it!
