Scholarship for Chinese Researchers Residing in Japan
-Eligibility:(1)40 years old or younger (born on or after January 1, 1970) (2)Currently taking (or, planning to take) the master’s or doctoral course at a graduate school (3)Entered Japan before April 2010 and scheduled to continue staying in the country until March 31, 2012 while intention of returning home can be confirmed without any indication of his/her length of stay to be prolonged

Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students
-Summary: Eligible for international students currently enrolled in accepted to a legitimate program. Apply through the international student affairs office at your university. However, only citizens of the following countries may apply: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

2011 Research Grant
・Summary: Grants will be given to researchers working in the below eligible fields of study and who fulfill the following conditions.
- Less than 35 years old as of November 30, 2010.
- Affiliated with a Japanese university, public research institute, etc. and able to continue the relevant research through the year 2011.

Recruitment for 2010 LSH Asia Scholars
・Summary: Since the Scholarship Society was established in 2002 (Lee Soo Hyun – Honors Society), it has provided scholarships to 434 scholars from Asia over 8 years to engage in language studies as international exchange students. LSH is again this year recruiting scholars for the 9th scholarship who meet the following conditions.
・Eligibility: Certified by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education, enrolled at a Japanese language school eligible according to the Scholarship Society and whose resident status is either “Study Abroad” or “School Attendance” as of July 1, 2010.
・Note: Applications must be made through the school recommendation system through schools that are eligible for the Scholarship Society’s scholarship, so first consult with the international student office of the school which you attend.
