Q1. How can I open PDF or Excel files?
JASSO website uses Adobe Acrobat Reader to browse PDF files. Please download plug-in for Adobe Reader (free of charge) from the following website:

*If you are unable to encode fonts on PDF format, please download Japanese fonts from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrasianfontpack.html and reload the file.
For who cannot browse Excel files, please download Microsoft Excel Viewer 2003 (free of charge) from the following site.

Q2. Can I browse the site with larger / smaller fonts?
Font size of most of JASSO webpages can be made larger or smaller by changing your browser's text size.
From the menu bar, select [View] menu and [Text Size / Text Zoom / Increase(Decrease)] option.
*The menu/option names vary by the type or version of your browser.
Q3. What should I do when the fonts get garbled?
If the fonts on JASSO webpages get garbled on your PC, please encode them.
From your menu bar, select [View] menu and [Encode Setting / Character Set / Character Coding] option.
*The menu/option names vary by the type or version of your browser.
Options for each language:
Japanese: Shift_JIS
English, Spanish, Indonesian: ISO-8859-1(Latin-1)
Simplified Chinese: GB2312
Traditional Chinese: Big5
Korean: euc-kr
Thai, Vietnamese: UTF-8
(You need to download Vietnamese font from http://www.vnnews.net/vnfonts.html to view the pages properly)

To read pages in other languages than English, please encode the fonts in the same way.
