As the former Japanese Language School of International Students Institute, the school takes pride in its 72 years of experience and tradition in providing Japanese Language and college preparatory education.
The school is a legislatively recognized Incorporated Administrative Agency under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Students study using the school’s own set of textbooks, in small classes grouped according to individual abilities, and receive in-depth instruction from experienced teaching staff.
Through professional advisory on issues such as university entrance examinations and entrance interviews, a high advancement rate of students proceeding on to institutions of higher education has been achieved annually.
Besides the strong focus on the Japanese Language, comprehensive lessons on foundation subjects are also being conducted. As such, students who have completed formal secondary education in less than 12 years in their countries or elsewhere, become qualified to apply Japanese universities upon graduation from the school.
On top of the 24 classrooms, Language Laboratory, PCRoom, library, Counseling Room, lunch spacet and lounge, the school also has its own hostel.
With a colorful international student population, Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center’s students can take the opportunity to participate in various cross-cultural events such as the annual study tour and off-campus lessons to deepen their understanding of other cultures.
