Basic Japanese for Daily Use
♦The course is designed for foreign nationals living in Osaka, whose levels of Japanese are beginner to upper intermediate to learn basic Japanese focused mainly on conversation knowledge necessary for daily life.
♦ Spring, Autumn and Winter courses have respectably 6 classes.
♦ Each class intakes about 12 to 13 persons.
♦ Classes are given by experienced teachers who teach regular classes (preparatory course)
♦ Co-sponsored by Osaka International House Foundation.
<Eligibility>Foreigners who can not converse well in Japanese
*Applicants who live or work in Osaka under proper visa for staying in Japan during the entire course period
*Priority will be given to those who take this "Basic Japanese for daily use" course for the first time.
<Participation fee>JPY30,000 (including textbook)
* Payment details (our bank details) will be informed at the time of your admission.
* Note that the tuitions once paid will not be refund.

|Spring course||from Monday, April 23rd, 2018 to Friday, July 13th, 2018
* No class; two days at the beginning of Jully due to school events.
from Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 to Friday, November 9th, 2018
* No class; one day each in the middle of September and of October due to school events.
|Winter course||from Monday, November 26th, 2018 to Friday, March 1st, 2019
*Winter holiday; December 21st, 2018 to January 10th, 2019.
<Hours>Monday through Friday (2 hours a day, 10 hours a week)
*No lesson on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.
*Class switches becomes impossible once course starts.
*Numbers of class group for each level can be adjusted.
|Morning classes||Beginner (2 classes) / Intermediate / Upper intermediate||from 10:10 am to 12:00 pm|
|Afternoon classes||Beginner / Intermediate||from 1:10 pm to 3:00 pm|
※No upper intermediate class in the afternoon.
2. Application details
<To new students (applicants who never studied in any level of the course) >
-Applicants should come to school office in person for application.
-Bring the filled out application, your passport (or resident's card) and a photo.
-Classes will be filled by first come first serve basis. The contents of all courses are the same.
-After reaching full capacity, you will be placed in a waiting list.
|Spring||from Friday, Aptil 13th, 2018 (starts at 9:15 a.m.)|
|Autumn||from Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 (starts at 9:15 a.m.)|
|Winter||from Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 (starts at 9:15 a.m.)|
<To continuing students (applicants who have ever studied in any level of the course) >
An applicant who has ever studied in any level of the course may be able to study in the course again. But, as a rule, seating priority is given to those who apply for the course for the first time. Therefore, an applicant who wants to retake the course will be able to do so only if there are still spots left in your desired class and, remaining spots will be assigned by the school’s lottery. The lottery is carried out by the school committee and, result will be informed to the applicant prior to the start of course.
Filled application needs to be faxed or posted to the school by the application date stated above.
Make sure to state desired class and contact information such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
An applicant who has faxed or posted application form by the application date does not need to come to the school on that day.
