Follow-up Research Fellowship Reports for FY 2024 No2419 (Hiroshima University)
The purpose of this research is to investigate the perceived contributions of Cambodian, Lao and Vietnamese (CLV) alumni of Japanese universities to social and economic development in their home countries. Despite the significant support of the Japanese government in human resource development in CLV countries through various scholarship programs, the specific contributions of these graduates to national development remain under-researched. For instance, over two decades, nearly 2000 individuals, mainly government officials, from CLV countries studying in Japan under JDS scholarship program (JDS, 2024).
