His groundbreaking discovery of regulatory T-cells (Tregs) is expected to open new possibilities in cancer and autoimmune disease treatment. Then again on October 8, Professor Susumu Kitagawa of Kyoto University was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his pioneering work on MOFs (Metal–Organic Frameworks).
