Admission for Preparatory Courses

This is for the persons who will enter Japan and be enrolled in our school with newly acquired "Student" visa.

This is for the persons who already hold long-term visa. (Usually, we accept applications from residents in Japan after the deadline for those from overseas.)

1.Application from overseas

This is for the persons who will enter Japan and be enrolled in our school with newly acquired "Student" visa.

Eligibility An applicant must be a foreign national, and have 12 years (high school level education) or more educational background in foreign countries other than Japan. An applicant has to have intensions to carry on his/her study at university or graduate school in Japan after studying Japanese at our center. Required documents vary depending on applicant’s nationality.

A. For applicants from India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal etc.

B. For applicants from countries other than those mentioned in A

How to apply:

On behalf of the applicant, a Contact Person (CP) will directly post mail all the required documents to the Student Affairs Division at the center, after getting our confirmation on the application.

  • Please inform us if you couldn’t find any CP in Japan, as we would accept the application without CP under the certain condition.

Application fee:

Once we confirm that we process your application, you will be asked to settle application fee of JPY20,000 in to our designated bank account (See "Payment at the application" mentioned above) to our account .

About selection:

After screening of documents, the school committee selects eligible students.

Admission notice:

April Course, 2024: After early December, 2023 by post mail
October Course, 2024: After late June, 2024 by post mail

VISA:

When you secure our admission, an admission certificate will be sent to you through the contact person and, at the same time, the school, as your proxy, will begin to process your eligibility application (the eligibility necessary for obtaining college visa) for Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau. When you are granted with eligibility, we will notify it and send the certificate to the contact person. With the eligibility certificate, you will apply for the College Visa at your local Japanese embassy or consulate.

Admission procedures:

April Course, 2024: around late March, 2024
October Course, 2024: around late September, 2024
Soon after you enter Japan, please settle the second payment (see "Payment at admission procedures" mentioned above) . With the bank receipt, your passport and resident card you receive at the airport, come to the school accompanied by a defrayer or contact person. The details of procedures will be informed to you along the admission notice.

Notice:

-Payments should be settled into our designated bank account. (All the bank charges or transfer fees shall be born by you.)
- Contents of recruitment and fees are subject to change without notice.
- Once payment is transferred to our center's bank account, refund is basically unacceptable.

This is for the persons who already hold long-term visa.
(Usually, we accept applications from residents in Japan after the deadline for those from overseas.)

(1)An applicant should meet all the following requirement

  • An applicant must have a visa (excluding student, work or some other types of visa) that is valid for more than 1 year.
  • An applicant must be a foreign national and have 12 years (high school level) education or more educational background in his / her country.
    (Including applicants who completed less than 12 year-long secondary education due to the education system of the country) .
  • He/she has to intend to carry on his/her study at a university or a graduate school or other higher educational institute in Japan after studying Japanese at our center.
  • An applicant must currently reside in Japan.

How to apply:

An applicant is requested to carry application documents, his / her passport and residence card with him / herself directly to our center accompanied by his /her contact person.

Screening:

After the school committee will set a screening of applications. our center will grant his / her admission.

Admission certificate:

An applicant who is granted with our admission needs to settle the payment by bank transfer by the designated date notified at the time of admission notice.Upon confirmation of the receipt of payment, admission certificate of the school will be issued to the person.

Notice:

-Contents of admission and fees are subject to change without notice.
-Payments once settled into our designated account are basically non-refundable.
-Payments should be settled by bank transfer in a lump sum.

Refund:

In any case listed below, part of the tuition would be refunded from the school expenses charged at time of enrollment.
Entered the 1-year course in April while proceeded to the university /graduate school in October in the same year, and withdrew from the school at the end of September before going to the university /graduate school : Tuition of six months would be refunded.
Entered the 1 and a half year course in October while proceeded to the college /graduate school in April of the next year, and withdrew from the school at the end of March before going to the university /graduate school : Tuition of 1 year would be refunded.
Entered the 1 and a half year course in October while proceeded to the college /graduate school in October of the next year, and withdrew from the school at the end of September before going to the graduate school : Tuition of six months would be refunded.
