Follow-up Research Fellowship Reports for FY 2022 (Hiroshima University) Foreign Researcher It is proven that SUS304 austenitic stainless steel has strain-induced martensitic transformation (SIMT) mechanism during plastic deformation leading an improvement of the mechanical properties. In this study, rate-sensitivity of fracture characteristics in the small punch test using a small specimen is investigated in experiment and finite element simulation for this steel. Fracture toughness is discussed based on the results of force- deflection curve as well as SEM observation. A modified damage model is incorporated into the constitutive equations. Follow-up Research Fellowship Reports for FY 2022 (Mie University) Foreign Researcher The abalone was supplied by the Nansei aquaculture seed production centre of Minami-Ise Town, Mie Prefecture, Japan. After acclimatisation, the initial weight and shell length were determined and the abalone were randomly distributed into three distinctive treatments with three replicates per treatment group: continuous feeding (CF), a repetitive cycle of 3-day fasting and 4-day re-feeding (PF), and no feeding (NF).
