Grand Prize : Daily commute

Train

From platform to platform, life's journey continues.

TIEC Prize : Beautiful Harmony/Reiwa

Buildings

This photo is how I see Japan; a mixture of the old and the new. For a foreign resident in Tokyo, daily life in the city means learning and appreciating how the Japanese Society was able to find a harmony between its history, the present, and its future. Reiwa 令和, which means "Beautiful Harmony", also the name of Japan's current era, is a perfect description of how Japan and the people in it move forward while looking back at its meaningful past.

Miraikan Prize : A lucky cat

A cat

A cat suddenly appeared and gave me a big smile!

AIST Tokyo Waterfront Prize : A walk of a lifetime

Walking man

The photo was taken at an ancient Japanese town along the Tokaido highway. What captured my attention was the scenes of old couples walking together there. They have walked together the whole life. And that is exactly what, we, as young people nowadays, are looking for, but we might just have not known yet.

Special Prize : My Life and the dawn of Nagano

Cockpit

I'm traveling between Nagano and Tokyo to get my glider license. This is a photo at dawn. I will practice today as well, hoping that my dream will come true.

Honorable Mention : Sunset view of "Fugaku" from the town where I live

Mt,fuji

On a clear, sunny day, you can see the beautiful Mt.Fuji from this location. A famous ukiyo-e artist used draw this image from here.

Honorable Mention : Daily life of a bird

Honorable Mention : Fuji's Serene Silhouette: A Glimpse from Lake Suwa

Mt,fuji

Captured in Nagano on the 13th of January 2023, this stunning photograph frames the iconic Mount Fuji between two rugged peaks, casting its majestic silhouette against the ethereal, hazy skies over Lake Suwa. A breathtaking glimpse of Japan's natural beauty.
