臨海副都心青海地区にある東京国際交流館は、日本科学未来館、産業技術総合研究所臨海副都心センターとともに、国際研究交流大学村を構成しています。
東京国際交流館では、外国人留学生、日本人学生及び国際研究交流大学村に勤務する職員等の交流を深める機会としてフォトコンテストを実施いたしました。

Brilliant bursts of color illuminate the Odaiba night, painting the sky with dazzling fireworks. Beneath this radiant spectacle, the silhouettes of people reflect a shared moment of happiness and cherished life by the bay.

A radiant celebration of autumn's peak, a fleeting moment of spectacular color and light before the season yields to colder days. It's a powerful reminder of nature's cyclical beauty and the enduring charm of fall.
秋の盛りを祝うようなまばゆい光景であり、本格的な冬が来る前の、色と光の儚い瞬間でもあります。それは、自然界の繰り返される美しさと、秋が持つ変わらぬ魅力を強く訴えかけてきます。

This photo of the Milky Way was captured in August 2025 at Toushiki camping ground located in the southern tip of the Oshima island. This serene campsite offers a splendid view of the night sky with minimal light pollution and the mesmerizing majesty of the night sky can be observed even with the naked eye.

A long exposure shot in Wakkanai, the northmost city in Japan. The tsunami blocking wall separating the ocean from the frozen lands, while an individual is walking alone to his destination in this cold, dark morning. The calmness of the ocean and the snow give a peace feeling to the photo, even though the conditions are extreme.

Seen from the far side of the Yamuna, the Taj awakens under soft sunshine—its marble shimmering like a quiet prayer reflected in the river. The Taj Mahal isn’t a monument—it’s a reflection teaching water how to be still.

Beauty in silence

Taken from Telecom Center, this photo shows a sweeping night view of Odaiba. Though I have only recently moved here, the lively streets, glowing Rainbow Bridge, and illuminated skyline make this city my true “oshi,” a place I admire and cherish every day.
テレコムセンターから望むお台場の夜景。住み始めて間もない街ですが、光り輝くレインボーブリッジと高層ビル群、そして活気ある街並みは、すでに私にとって大切な「推し」の街です。

The ground and footsteps are my will to research. The sky is endless science. And I am taking small steps to reach that infinity. Moreover, the footsteps symbolize the achievement after a cold and lonely research process.
地面と足跡は、私の研究への意志です。空は果てしない科学です。そして私は、その無限の彼方へと辿り着くために、小さな一歩を踏み出しています。そして、足跡は、冷たく孤独な研究過程を経て得た成果を象徴しています。

Heaven on Earth

This picture shows a beautiful spring day near TIEC in Japan. The cherry blossoms (sakura) on the trees behind the colorful tulips in the foreground created a beautiful scene that perfectly harmonizes iconic Japanese spring colors.

Seeing Jinta gliding gracefully through the water at the Churaumi Aquarium was both a magical and breathtaking experience. I marveled at its magnificence in profound silence.
沖縄美ら海水族館でジンタが優雅に水の中を滑るように泳ぐ姿は、魔法のような息をのむ体験だった。私は深い静寂の中でその壮麗さに感嘆した。

This photo captures the magic of Tokyo at night. The Rainbow Bridge, a modern symbol, glows against the dark sky. Its reflection paints a shimmering portrait of light and life on the water. This image represents peace and admiration, a moment when the city's energy seems to pause, revealing its breathtaking beauty.

I was just traveling randomly around Nagoya and found a shrine that gave me a similar vibe to Meiji Jingu, but it was quieter and less crowded. Surprisingly, this shrine is home to the sacred Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi sword.
名古屋をなんとなく歩き回っていたら、明治神宮に似た雰囲気の神社を見つけました。でも、もっと静かで人も少なかったです。驚いたことに、この神社には三種の神器の一つ「草薙の剣」が祀られています。
