1. Our school prepares foreign students for further studies at universities or graduate schools
Besides the strong focus on the Japanese Language, comprehensive lessons on core subjects are also being conducted.
Students aiming for natural science course at universities and colleges should learn mathematics, English, chemistry and physics or biology.
Students aiming for liberal arts course at universities and colleges should learn mathematics, Geography & History, Civics and English.
Students aiming for the graduate school should learn Academic Japanese and English.
Students will obtain the ability they need to pass the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students.
2. Most of the students proceed to universities and graduate schools
All of the students here are working hard on entering universities or graduate schools.
For having the same purpose, they can improve themselves by the competition with each other.
Many of our students are proceeding on to either departments of national universities and private universities or the graduate schools every year.
3. Full-time Course for Efficient Study
The class hour is from 9:10 to 16:00 everyday from Monday to Friday.
Students are trained in the 1 year or 1 and a half year course intensively for the purpose of entering universities or graduate schools.
They learn more knowledge step by step, and have a review everyday. They also need finish a lot of homeworks.
They can study in reading room after school.
Part-time job is prohibited in principle.
4. 1 year course and 1 and a half year course are available
1 year course begins in April ,and 1 and a half year course begins in October.
We recommend 1 and a half year course to those that have not learned Japanese before, or worry about the core subject, or prefer to considering more about research subject.

※In any case listed below, part of the tuition would be refunded from the school expenses paid at time of enrollment.
Entered the 1-year course in April while proceeded to the university /graduate school in October in the same year, and withdrew from the school at the end of September before going to the university /graduate school → Tuition of six months would be refunded.
Entered the 1 and a half year course in October while proceeded to the college /graduate school in April of the next year, and withdrew from the school at the end of March before going to the university /graduate school→Tuition of 1 year would be refunded
Entered the 1 and a half year course in October while proceeded to the college /graduate school in October of the next year, and withdrew from the school at the end of September before going to the graduate school→ Tuition of six months would be refunded.
5. We have graduate school preparatory course and university preparatory course with the study of core subjects
In addition to Japanese language, students wishing to go on to universities are separated into the natural science and liberal arts Courses. Classes of the natural science course are formed with mathematics, chemistry, English and physics or biology. Classes of the liberal arts course are formed with mathematics, Geography & History, Civics and English.
Classes are formed with Japanese, English and Academic Japanese which is necessary in not only writing a research plan, but also in the examination of universities and graduate schools.
In the latter half of the course, students will spend more than half of the total time to study the core subject.
6. Students are grouped according to individual ability
Students are grouped according to individual ability in the Japanese language and core subjects, and choose classes perfect for their needs.
7. An International Student Population from various countries
Students are coming from China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
It will be a very precious experience to begin your life as a international student with classmates from various countries.
We also respect the religious beliefs of students.

8. Appropriate guidance on continuing education for each student
In our class-based system, professional staffs provide consultation and guidance for each student on study of Japanese and issues of continuing education.
Teachers help students wishing to go on to graduate schools with selecting their research subjects.
Teachers give special training on entrance interviews.
9. A Well-Equipped Learning Environment
The school building is a 3-storied building with a courtyard. There is also a Language Laboratory, a PC room and a students hall.
Students can study in reading room after school.

Japanese lessons at Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center
Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center (TJLEC) provides students the Japanese language education for students who want to go to university or graduate school.
In order to go to university or graduate school, students need to learn academic Japanese.
After entering TJLEC, first of all, students will learn the basic Japanese firmly. Then, students will learn more Japanese which they need to know in order to pass examinations, including the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). Furthermore, students are expected to obtain the ability, which they can take lessons or do researches in university or graduate school in the future.

Academic Japanese for graduate students
We have Graduate School Preparatory Course and lessons for students who want to go to graduate school called “Academic Japanese for Graduate Students”.
The aim of the lesson is to obtain the skills which students need to have for passing entrance examinations and for doing researches at graduate school. For this reason, we have developed a textbook called JISSEN KENKYUU KEIKAKU SAKUSEI HOU (Graduate Research Proposals Step-by Step[Second Edition]) and use it in class.

Students will learn the following techniques in the class of “Academic Japanese for graduate students”.
- Information retrieval, computer literacy
- How to write a research plan
- What to prepare when applying for graduate school
- How to give a presentation at seminar and how to have a question-and-answer session
- Preparing for interview examinations
- Preparing for written examinations
- Writing theses
These lessons are appreciated by the graduates of our school and they said that the lessons have been very useful for passing entrance examinations and research activities in graduate school.

Japanese Language and Basic Subjects
Students will learn Japanese and basic subjects in Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center (TJLEC). However, class schedules will change by season.
At the beginning of the course, students will learn the Japanese language only. After they learn the Japanese to some extent, start learning basic subjects.
All lessons are given by the Japanese language.
