Tokyo Japanese Language Education Center annually hold various events for students. This page introduces the main events.
Entrance Ceremony
We hold the entrance ceremony for the 1-year course in April, and for the 1.5 year course in October, both in the student hall of our center. An entrance orientation and placement test will also be held at the same time, marking the start of a new chapter in school life.
Spring School Trip
In May, as part of our curriculum, we hold a spring school trip for all students. The goal is to deepen their understanding of Japan through visits and experiences with Japanese culture and local industries.
In the 2025 academic year, students visited Narita City in Chiba Prefecture, where they learned about the latest airport systems and the history of the traditional temple town.

Autumn School Trip
In November, we hold an autumn school trip for students who enrolled in October.
In the 2025 academic year, students took a stroll around Asakusa and visited Tokyo Skytree.
Speech Contest
Every September, we hold a speech contest.
Students selected from each course compete in front of an audience to demonstrate the results of their daily Japanese language studies.

Off-Campus Workshop
From May to June, students study Japan studies at educational and cultural facilities in and around Tokyo.
In recent years, they have visited the Tokyo Fire Department's “Disaster Prevention Hall.” At the hall, they learn what to do during an actual earthquake through earthquake simulation experiences and disaster prevention education.
Graduation Ceremony
In March, graduation ceremonies for the 1.5-year course (enrolled in October of the previous year) and the 1-year course (enrolled in April) will be held in the student hall of our center. Students bid farewell to their teachers and classmates, celebrate each other's advancement to universities or graduate schools, and express gratitude to their families and supporting organizations.
