As from the year 2021, when applying for the EJU in Japan, online application has become the only means for making application. Then you (each examinee) will be able to confirm your score and print your "Score Confirmation Report" online. Consequently sending your score report by mail was abolished.
For those who take the examination outside Japan, you will be able to confirm your score and print your "Score Confirmation Report" online after making your “my page” after applications, but, for a while, we will send your score reports by mail during the transitional period considering the web situation in some places.
For Examinees taking EJU in Japan
1. Announcement of results to examinees
The results of examination are announced on the dates below.
- 1st Session (June): July 24 (Wednesday), 2024
- 2nd Session (November): December 20 (Friday), 2024
The examinees who took the EJU in Japan can confirm the score at "my page" of EJU Online.
The examinees having applied for the examination by making individual “my page” and the group coordinators are able to see the score online and print out the “Score Confirmation Report”.

Even in case examinees have not made an application through individual “my page”, from the year 2021, by registering a “my page ID” after making application, each examinee is able to confirm your score and print your "Score Confirmation Report" online.
- *Examinee who made the group application (Batch Registration format)
- *Group coordinators are also able to confirm the scores for all applicants. It will be necessary for them to obtain the consent of the applicants at the time the application is submitted. Examinees not wishing to proceed in this manner are requested to submit individual applications (and not group format applications).
- *The scores which can be confirmed are those which are within the valid period (two years).
2. Score Notification to Universities (*)
Universities will be notified of examinees’ scores as follows.

1.When applying to a university, write your examination registration number, name in the Roman alphabet, date of birth, and other required information on the university’s application form. If you are planning to take both the 1st session (June) and the 2nd session (November), write only the examination registration number of one session (whichever you prefer) on the university’s application form.
The scores submitted for respective subjects must be from the same session. Submitting the scores from different sessions for respective subjects e.g., “the score of Japanese as a Foreign Language for the 1st session and the score of Japan and the World for the 2nd session” is not acceptable. - 2.Some university require students to have a copy of examination vouchers when applying, so make sure you do not lose your voucher before you have completed enrollment. (A handling fee of \2,000(including tax) will be charged for reissue of examination voucher.)
- 3.After the examination, the university to which you applied will request JASSO to provide your score.
- 4.JASSO will provide the university with your score and, if you took the Japanese as a Foreign Language test, a copy of your answers for the writing section of the test will also be provided.
- *We will also notify your scores to the organization in response to score inquiries related to the selection of Malaysian government supported scholarship and Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Scholarship students.
3. Inquiries on results
JASSO does not respond to inquiries or doubts raised by examinees concerning the results reported to them. Also, JASSO does not show or return the answer sheets to examinees after the examination.
For Examinees taking EJU outside Japan
1. Announcement of results to examinees
The score report will be sent to the overseas representatives of each cities.
- 1st Session (June): July 24 (Wednesday), 2024
- 2nd Session (November): December 20 (Friday), 2024
When the overseas representative receive your score report from Japan Student Services Organization, the score report will be sent to address which you wrote in the "Label for Score Report" or distributed at the designated location.
The score report will not be reissued.
From the year 2021, even in case you take the exam outside Japan, by your registering an EJU Online my page after making application, you (each candidate) will be able to confirm your score and print your "Score Confirmation Report" online.
2. What to do if score report does not arrive
If the score report does not arrive by the timing below, please contact the overseas representative in each country.
- 1st Session (June): Early August, 2024
- 2nd Session (November): Early January, 2025
